I am a postdoctoral researcher and AAI Intersect Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Connecticut working in the Bolnick lab. I study host-parasite dynamics and evolutionary/ecological immunology in the three-spined stickleback. Broadly, I am interested in the interplay between symbiotic relationships (both mutualistic and parasitic), immunity, and ecology. I recently received my PhD from the University of Texas at Arlington where I worked in the Mydlarz lab. My dissertation research focused on the use of both transcriptional and biochemical data to understand immune and stress responses of marine invertebrates and non-model species. Additionally, I used these techniques to investigate the relationship between symbiosis and immunity in scleractinian corals. For more information about my research interests, visit the link above.
